About
Hello!
My name is Nathan Leach, and I am an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Western Massachusetts. Starting in September, I will be serving as Priest-in-Charge at All Saints Berkshires and as Curate at St. John’s Williamstown. I live in North Adams with my wife, our two-year old daughter, and our dog.
I received my BA from Williams College, where I studied English and Religion and was extensively involved in the music department as a singer and choral conductor. After graduating, I spent a year living with the Society of St. John the Evangelist, an Anglo-Catholic monastic community in Cambridge, MA, and a subsequent year working as director of the Children’s Choir at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church. I received a Master’s of Divinity from Yale Divinity School and a Certificate in Anglican Studies from Berkeley Divinity School. While at Yale, I completed a thesis on the material, incarnational nature of theological language.
My previous roles include seminarian at Christ Church New Haven, chaplain at Norwalk Hospital and Connecticut Hospice, and Director of Christian Education & Formation at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Wallingford. Outside of the church, I have worked as a grant writer and coordinator in a variety of fields, including refugee and immigrant resettlement, arts nonprofits, and higher education.
I started this site as a way of challenging myself to share my work more publicly. When I’m not engaged in writing or ministry, I can be found running with my dog, hanging out with my family, or making music.
