About
Hello!
My name is Nathan Leach, and I am an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Western Massachusetts. I live in North Adams with my wife, our two-year old daughter, and our dog.
I received my BA from Williams College, where I studied English and Religion and was extensively involved in the music department as a singer and choral conductor. After graduating, I spent a year living with the Society of St. John the Evangelist, an Anglo-Catholic monastic community in Cambridge, MA, and a subsequent year working as director of the Children’s Choir at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church. I received a Master’s of Divinity from Yale Divinity School and a Certificate in Anglican Studies from Berkeley Divinity School. While at Yale, I completed a thesis on material, incarnational nature of theological language. My previous experience includes work as a seminarian at Christ Church, New Haven, and work as a chaplain at Norwalk Hospital and Connecticut Hospice. Outside of the church, I have worked as a grant writer and coordinator in a variety of fields, including refugee and immigrant resettlement, arts nonprofits, and higher education.
I started this site as a way of challenging myself to share my work more publicly. When I’m not engaged in writing or ministry, I can be found trail-running with my dog, hiking with my family, or practicing mandolin.
